    "text": "[אסתר ג, יד] פתשגן הכתב. אנטיגרפון דאיגרתא. להנתן דת בכל מדינה ומדינה, א\"ר לוי אומות העולם נביאתן סתומה, ואינן יודעין אם להרוג ואם ליהרג. משל לאחד שהיה מהלך בדרך מן דוחקא [דאורחא] איתסבע (קם ליה) [קרסוליה], אמר הלואי הוי לי חד חמר, עבר עלוי חד רומאי דילדית חמרתיה, א\"ל סב ארכיב הדין [עולאי], א\"ל הא לא צלו דאישתמעית ברם אנא לא שאילת כהוגן או למרכב או למרכבה בך, משל לאדם שהיה מפרש לים הגדול, עבר עליו סער גדול ובקש לטבעו בים, אמר אי קם ליה הדין נחשולא, אנא מקריב לי חד עגל, כיון דקם ליה נחשולא, אמר לא אמרית ולא כלום, כן הן נבואתן של עובדי אלילים, להיות עתידים ליום הזה ואינן יודעין אם להרוג אם ליהרג, אבל ישראל נבואתן מפורסמות, להיות עתידים ליום הזה להנקם מאויביהם.",
