Esther 10:3

כִּ֣י ׀ מׇרְדֳּכַ֣י הַיְּהוּדִ֗י מִשְׁנֶה֙ לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֔וֹשׁ וְגָדוֹל֙ לַיְּהוּדִ֔ים וְרָצ֖וּי לְרֹ֣ב אֶחָ֑יו דֹּרֵ֥שׁ טוֹב֙ לְעַמּ֔וֹ וְדֹבֵ֥ר שָׁל֖וֹם לְכׇל־זַרְעֽוֹ׃

Here the Greek inserts Addition F: The dream interpreted. Its units:

  • F 1 — Mordecai declares that the events came from God.
  • F 2 — He recalls his dream; not one word of it failed.
  • F 3 — Interpretation: the spring that became a river is Esther.
  • F 4 — The two dragons are Mordecai and Haman.
  • F 5 — The nations are those gathered to destroy the Jews.
  • F 6 — My nation is Israel, who cried out to God and were saved.
  • F 7 — The Lord saved his people with signs and wonders unmatched among the nations.
  • F 8 — God made two lots, one for his people, one for the nations.
  • F 9 — The two lots came to their appointed day of judgment; God remembered and vindicated his people.
  • F 10 — Adar 14-15 established forever as days of joyful assembly for Israel.
